We almost separated after our very expensive mattress purchase from else where. He bought the single alto mattress for me to sleep on the floor. Then we bought the big version. In my opinion the best mattress we’ve ever owned.

yes it was in a box and it took a bit of assembly with the base, it was fun getting the mattress out of the box and setting it up,, , so far very happy with the bed, we have been staying at motels and hotels on our way down to Dunedin and some of the beds were awful, this mattress is very comfortable, very impressed, its only day 3 but very happy, :)

The base was easy to assemble, there was a bit of a split in some of the wooden slats, which we thought would be problematic, but there have been no worries so far. Between the two of us we are putting about 160kg on the bed and the despite three of the slats being pretty split they are able to hold our weight. The mattress is not the best quality but we can't go wrong for the price and as it is going to be a spare bed, we are very happy with the value for money.
